‘MARSHMALLOW’ BRINGS NEW CHILLS & SPILLS TO THE SUMMER CAMP HORROR FILM LEGACY!  

Daniel DelPurgatorio’s Marshmallow is a chilling blend of nostalgia and nightmare, breathing new life into the summer camp slasher genre. Set against the eerie backdrop of a secluded camp, the film follows 12-year-old Morgan (Kue Lawrence) as he confronts a campfire legend turned terrifying reality. As a mysterious figure stalks the grounds, Morgan and his newfound friends embark on a perilous journey that challenges their courage and unearths unsettling truths

DelPurgatorio, known for co-directing Tales of the Black Freighter, crafts a suspenseful atmosphere that pays homage to ’80s horror while introducing contemporary twists. The film’s strength lies in its youthful cast, with Lawrence delivering a standout performance that captures the vulnerability and resilience of adolescence. Supporting roles by Giorgia Whigham and Alysia Reiner add depth to the narrative, while Corbin Bernsen brings a seasoned presence to the ensemble

On Friday, April 4th, the star studded cast gathered for the Marshmallow Los Angeles Premiere, sponsored by Jack Daniel’s Bonded Whiskey, at the esteemed Culver Theater in Culver City.
